Georgina has trained in the Light Collective method (mantra, meditation, kriya) and classical yoga- a total system of spiritual knowledge originating from the Vedas and handed down from teacher to student.

She describes her teaching style as one which operates from a place of sharing knowledge and practices rather than formally teaching them and us always willing to help someone on their ‘yoga/life’s journey’

Georgina feels the human experience is dynamic and therefore the way in which she shares a practice varies depending on the situation and person although the practice itself remains consistent. She hopes her students feel supported with their practice enabling them to find peace and acceptance with whatever is arising in the moment. As a teacher it is important for her students to feel empowered to acknowledge when something isn’t working for them so they can be supported with something that does work. Her desire is that her students can feel confident in integrating the practices throughout the day in a way that works for them so the practice can lead to a more meaningful life.

Tell us something that people may not know about you

Every weekend Georgina spends in rural Victoria on some land ‘out the back of Angelsea’. Spending this time ‘in the bush’ has given her a different perspective of what being ‘connected to country means’. Seeing the night sky, being dependant on rain for drinking water and using firewood from trees to keep warm continues to reinforce to her how incredible our planet and nature is including all the living creatures that comes to visit - there are a lot of them (from bats to kangaroos, birds, echidnas, hares, rabbits, rats and more).
