Sian Pascale in collaboration with artist and dancer Jonathan Homsey
Our bodies are created with an innate intelligence, an inner guidance system that is constantly in communication with us. An inner knowing that we can feel in our gut, our hearts and our bodies. It runs through the viscera of our being, through our muscles and veins. It guides us toward the right relationships, the best work choices and the most desirable life path. We have all felt this embodied wisdom at least once in our lives- that feeling of just knowing.
Yet for many of us, our modern lives have disconnected us from trusting our own bodies and our innate wisdom. We have replaced a natural and instinctive way of being in the world with one that is dominated by the rational, thinking mind. Our bodies have become spaces for holding tension, stress and anxiety with no process for release, or finding freedom in joyous movement. We are disconnected from the natural world, from physical connection to others and because of this, we are disconnected from our own body and the beauty of its wisdom.
Luminous Movement is a workshop that brings us back into deep connection with our body through meditative, guided, movement practices. Using yoga flows and dance, we will allow our bodies to reconnect with an intuitive way of being. To find that luminosity and radiance that comes from a feeling of freedom in our bodies and a loving of being in our own skin.
Over 2 hours you will be guided through:
Pranayama and breath work,
Embodied movement and yoga flows (Sian Pascale),
Guided dance practices and joyous free movement (Jonathan Homsey),
Relaxing sivasana and crystal bowl sound healing.
This is a one-off event and the final Light Collective practice for the year before Sian leaves for India.
All levels of practice are welcome- and you do not need to have any dance experience.
